Fever is correlated to an infectious disease. A temperature of the inner canthus of the eye region greater than 37.5ºC is related to a fever process (Pascoe D, et al. 2010). External factors like room temperature, relative humidity and items covering the eye region (like glasses) must be controlled to ensure reliable, consistent and comparable data.
