ThermoHuman talks at Sporting-Gijón’s Mareo Education & Research Lab presentation

The platform for research, development and innovation of Mareo School Fundation Real Sporting-Gijón, under the name of Mareo Education & Research Lab kicked off last November 6th with its presentation, which took place in Asturias’ International Trade Fair.

David Casillas, partner and software engineer at ThermoHuman, participated in the presentation of the event. He explained the basics of the technology used by the company, infrared thermography and its uses in injury prevention and monitoring at high performance sports, as well as in sports traumatology, physiotherapy, biomechanics or podiatry.

The Mareo Education & Research Lab consists in an educational project with which the Mareo Foundation seeks to become a reference in the field of knowledge and sports innovation. The University of Oviedo, the Complutense University of Madrid, the University of Pachuca, the University of Moscow and the Johan Cruyff Institute are some of the training organizations with whom the Foundation will collaborate in its implementation.

Europa Thermohuman ThermoHuman has had the support of the Funds of the European Union and the Community of Madrid through the Operational Programme on Youth Employment. Likewise, ThermoHuman within the framework of the Export Initiation Program of ICEX NEXT, had the support of ICEX and the co-financing of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

CDTI Thermohuman has received funding from the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), in participation with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), for the R+D activities involved in creating a new tool, based on thermography, for the prediction and prevention of rheumatoid arthritis.
